A MISSION CALLED YOU
Movement Millennium is a soul-searching and selfless campaign, pioneered by Global Initiatives for Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Action, which is a conscious, collective and organized universal movement toiling for the elevation of human, environmental, economical, emotional and spiritual health worldwide.
To live is not merely to breathe; it is to act, to make use of your organs, senses, facultiesof all those parts of ourselves which give us the feeling of existence.
Jean Jacques Rousseau
Themes for the Movement Millennium have been meticulously chosen from a spectrum of burning human problems so that everyone could lend a hand directly or indirectly for the common good.
However, the emphasis has been laid on action as evident from the very call of JUST ACT. Better done than said. Be a doer. And, only do the just. Better provide an opportunity rather than sympathy.
The right moment is here for everyone to act for a greener, peaceful and sustainable 3rd Millennium. Let's review the ups and downs in the 2000 years of human history. Let's give up the bitterness of the past. Let's move with an enlightened spirit into the 3rd Millennium.
Therefore, let's act from now onwards in order to hand over a living planet to our future generations without putting any strain on you. Do whatever you can.
Before elucidating further, let me quote Lowell, "Every man feels instinctively that all the beautiful sentiments in the world weigh less than a single lovely action."
Movement Millennium has identified following silent emergencies which deserve immediate action so that all of us can champion thematically on these issues:
Organ donations after death
Water quality and productivity
Population planning and AIDS education
